Cabinet Card Curiosities
Vintage cabinet cards, once formal and fixed in their purpose, are given new life through collage and paint. This series transforms these small historical artifacts into imaginative works of art, bridging the gap between tradition and the unexpected. The works are currently split into two separate series: “Retratos de los Muertos” & “Anthromorphic Animals”
Retratos de los Muertos
Historical portraits are reimagined through the vibrant and symbolic lens of Día de los Muertos. Masks, bold colors, and intricate details turn these faces into celebrations of identity, memory, and life.
Anthropomorphic Animals
Stately dogs and cats step into the frame, reinterpreted with the same humour, charm and personality that our fur babies bring to our families. Each portrait balances the refined and downright silly, transforming these once vintage treasures into playful explorations of character and whimsy.
